Half Day, Terms of Purchase

Last updated: September 25, 2026

These Terms of Purchase govern your purchase of a Half Day Brand or a Half Day Website from Brookey Design Co., the trade name of Tau Rho Dominion Goods L.L.C. ("the Studio," "we," "us"). By checking the box on the booking form, typing your name as your signature, and completing payment, you ("the Client," "you") agree to these terms. This is a binding agreement. Please read it before you pay.

1. What you are buying

A Half Day is one deliverable, designed or built on a single weekday morning of your choosing (a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday), 6:00 am to 11:00 am Central Time, with a live revision window from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Central. You choose one of the two options below on the booking form.

Half Day Brand includes:

  • Three (3) custom logo designs: one primary logo and two secondary marks or icons
  • A curated color palette
  • Audience alignment, based on your answers in the intake form
  • A live revision window, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Central on your Half Day
  • Final logo files for print and digital use

Half Day Website includes:

  • A one-page website of up to six (6) sections, built on the Squarespace platform
  • Copy for your page, written by us from your intake answers
  • Mobile layout
  • One contact form, connected and tested
  • Page title, page description, favicon and social sharing image
  • A live revision window, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Central on your Half Day
  • A custom PDF guide covering how to update your page
  • Seven (7) days of functionality support following launch

A "section" means one horizontal band of the page, such as a hero, about, services, reviews, FAQ or contact section.

Not included in either option: typography systems, brand patterns, business card design, brand guidelines or a brand hub (Half Day Brand); photography, additional pages, e-commerce, custom code, your Squarespace subscription and your domain registration (Half Day Website); and any work not listed above. Anything outside this list is separate work, quoted and agreed in writing before we start it.

2. Fees, tax and payment

The fee is $2,500.00 USD for either option. Texas sales tax at 8.25% applies to all amounts and is added at checkout.

The full fee is paid at booking, through Stripe. Your Half Day is booked at checkout, whether you pay by card or bank transfer (ACH). If a bank payment fails, your date is released until it is paid.

3. Refunds and cancellation

All fees are non-refundable. When you book, your date comes off our calendar and is no longer available to anyone else. If you cancel, stop the work, or become unreachable at any point after booking, the fee is not refunded.

If we cancel: if we cancel your Half Day for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund every dollar you have paid.

Our right to decline. Within three (3) business days of your booking, we may decline the project and refund you in full, for any reason. Because a Half Day is bought without a call first, this is how we keep the right to say no to work that is not a fit.

4. Rescheduling, and the content deadline

Your Half Day works because the decisions are made before it starts. Your intake form must be complete, with your answers and materials in our hands, no later than 11:59 pm Central two (2) days before your Half Day (for example, by Sunday night for a Tuesday Half Day). For a Half Day Website, this includes your intake answers, your photos, and access to your Squarespace account and domain.

If your intake is not complete by that deadline, we will move your Half Day to the next available Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning. That is not a penalty. We cannot design or build without it.

You may reschedule once at no charge with at least seven (7) days written notice. A second reschedule, or any reschedule with less than seven days notice, is subject to a rescheduling fee of $250.00 USD, or, at our discretion, may be treated as a cancellation under Section 3.

If you are unreachable on your Half Day, or you do not attend the 11:00 am to 12:00 pm revision window, the Half Day is still considered delivered and the fee is not refundable.

5. What you are responsible for

  • Completing the intake form by 11:59 pm Central two days before your Half Day
  • Half Day Website only: providing your intake answers, photos, logo, colors and fonts. A Half Day Website is not a branding project
  • Adding howdy@brookeydesign.com as a user on the accounts we need. We do not ask for and will not store your passwords
  • Being present from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Central on your Half Day
  • Designating one person with authority to approve the work. We take direction from that person only
  • Reviewing everything before 12:00 pm. Once the window closes, what is delivered is what was approved

We do not accept feedback, revisions or direction that has been generated or rewritten by an AI tool.

6. Revisions

Your revisions happen on your Half Day, between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm Central. You see the work, you tell us what to change, we change it. That window is the revision allowance for this service.

Once the window closes, the work is delivered. Changes requested afterward are new work, quoted separately at our then-current rates. This is different from our full-service projects, which include two rounds of revisions per deliverable. Those rounds do not apply to a Half Day.

7. After delivery

Half Day Website: for seven (7) days after your page goes live, we fix functionality problems in our work at no charge, such as broken links, forms that do not submit, or elements that do not display correctly. That window does not cover design changes, new content, new sections, changes you make yourself, or anything caused by a Squarespace platform change.

Half Day Brand: your final files are delivered the afternoon of your Half Day. Please download and save them. We keep them for thirty (30) days after delivery.

After those windows, our obligations under these terms are complete. Continued help is available and quoted separately.

8. Platform, domain and third-party services

A Half Day Website is built on Squarespace. Your use of that platform is governed by its own terms, which you accept directly with them. You are responsible for your platform subscription, your domain registration and renewal, and any other third-party service the page depends on.

Some projects need third-party materials such as fonts, stock images or icons. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the licenses for those. We will tell you what a project needs. Where we purchase them for you, they are billed at cost.

9. Ownership

Once you have paid in full, we assign to you ownership of the final logo files or final website design we create specifically for you.

We keep ownership of our own methods, templates, know-how, preliminary concepts, unused designs, and working files. You own the final logos or final page, not the way we make them.

10. Your content

You represent that everything you give us, including text, images, logos and trademarks, is owned by you or properly licensed to you, and does not infringe anyone else's rights. You will indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from any claim, damage, liability or cost, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from the materials you provide or your use of the finished work.

11. Names and trademarks

We do not perform trademark searches and we do not advise on whether a business name, product name, domain or tagline is legally available to use. Nothing we say about a name is legal advice or a clearance opinion. If you want to know whether a name is available, consult a trademark attorney before you use it.

12. Accessibility and legal pages

We are not responsible for your website's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, or any other accessibility law or standard. We do not draft, review or advise on your privacy policy, terms of use or any other legal text. We will place text you provide onto the page. Placing it is not review or approval of it.

13. How the work gets made

Every design we deliver is made by hand. The concepts, the direction, the layouts, the typography, and the final files are the work of a human designer, and we do not deliver AI-generated design. We reserve the right to use AI tools elsewhere in our business, in areas that do not produce your design work, such as scheduling, correspondence, internal notes, research and administration.

14. Portfolio, promotion and testimonials

After your work is delivered and paid for, we may show and describe it in our portfolio, website, social media and case studies, and identify you as a client. If you give us a review or testimonial, in any format, we may quote it and use your name, business name and town in our marketing. Tell us in writing if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

15. No guarantee of results

We warrant that our work is original or properly licensed. We make no guarantee about any business, sales, search ranking or marketing result. Except as stated in these terms, the work is provided as is.

16. Limit of our liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or related to these terms will not exceed the total fees you actually paid us. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenue, even if we were told they were possible.

17. Confidentiality, and independent contractor

Each of us will keep the other's non-public business information confidential and use it only to carry out this agreement. This does not apply to information that is public, was already known, or must be disclosed by law. We are an independent contractor, not your employee, partner, agent or joint venturer.

18. Events outside our control

Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including illness, acts of God, power or internet failure, or third-party platform failure. If your Half Day is affected, we will reschedule it to the next available Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning at no charge.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. We will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute directly, and then through mediation, before either of us goes to court. Any action that does proceed must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Callahan County, Texas, and we both consent to that jurisdiction. The prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.

20. The whole agreement

These terms, together with your booking form and your order confirmation, are the entire agreement between us and replace any prior discussion. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Changes must be in writing and agreed by both of us. We may update these terms for future purchases; the version in effect on the date you paid is the version that governs your purchase.

21. Acceptance

By checking the box on the booking form, typing your name in the signature field, and completing payment, you agree to these Terms of Purchase. Your typed name is your electronic signature. Electronic acceptance is valid and binding under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. Keep a copy of your order confirmation.
